Incorporate more natural elements into your fall decor with fall leaf garlands! Whether it’s for your entryway, dining room decor, or living room decor, it’ll really bring the essence of fall into your home. There are many different versions of these garlands for you to choose from or mix together to create your favorite. Feel free to use real leaves or faux leaves!

Fall Terrariums

This DIY craft will be a hit with everyone, especially the kids! All you need are little glasses or jars, colored sand (fall colors are preferable), mini pumpkins, and elements you can find outside, like small pine cones, leaves, acorns, and small sticks. For the glasses, you can either use ones that you don’t use often or get some from a thrift store. It’s time to update the wreath on your door, DIY style! We recommend getting a bare grapevine wreath from your local craft store and then decorating it according to your favorite colors, flowers, and accents.

Pet-Inspired Painted Pumpkins

For all the animal lovers, this DIY fall decor craft is for you! Grab some pumpkins, paint, and little add-ons like felt and pipe cleaners to recreate your furry friend in a pumpkin. Feel free to use artificial or real pumpkins, as real, uncarved pumpkins can last up to a few months!

Another idea is to use pet-safe paint and put their paw prints on the pumpkins for a special touch. Don’t forget to wash their paws afterward and give them plenty of treats!

Gratitude Tree

Did you know that gratitude is strongly correlated to increased feelings of happiness? To embrace fall and practice gratitude, this DIY “gratitude tree” is the perfect craft for you and the family to incorporate into your fall decor. Before you stick the paper leaves on the branches, write something on the leaf that you’re thankful for. We recommend keeping this craft in an area you pass by or sit by on a daily basis so that you can be reminded. This is also a great way for the little ones to practice their handwriting if they’re still learning!
