Farmers Market in Your Own Backyard

To indulge all of your senses, a trip to the local farmers market is just the ticket. There is something for everyone at EAV Farmers Market! This favorite destination is open every Thursday from 4 to 8, March through November. Come enjoy the variety of local products, from seasonal produce, to local soap, to homemade Kombucha. For even more sights, sounds, and delicious smells, you can watch and learn from the masters at one of their cooking demonstrations and/or pick up a prepared meal to enjoy at home from Nisha’s Flavors of India. During the warmer months, grab a popsicle at King of Pops and then enjoy the craft booths or listen to the live music! Also, don’t miss out on the Edible Learning Garden, which offers activities for all age groups – including kids!

Spend Some Time in Great Atlanta Parks

A new home in this Atlanta neighborhood also means you are just moments away from some of Atlanta’s best parks. For a hidden gem, Brownwood Park is 12.33 acres large and includes a fitness parkour area, playground, community garden, nature trails, and an urban creek. It is well shaded – perfect for those Atlanta summers!

Just five minutes away is Grant Park, a 131-acre green space and recreation area at the heart of one of Atlanta’s oldest neighborhoods. With its location right next to another iconic Atlanta attraction, it is always bustling with families. This has led to it become the home of one of the area’s biggest playgroup associations.

If you need some refreshments while you are out and about, drop by for a caffeine pick-me-up or a mouthwatering smoothie at Grant Park Coffeehouse. This coffee shop is a staple of the neighborhood and there’s something for everyone to enjoy. You’re already in the area, the next stop – the zoo!
